New DMs or group chat messages crash the mobile app

On mobile, I can use discord normally. But if I get a new message in a group chat or a friend DMs me, the app crashes. And as long as that message is unread, the app won't stay open. I've had to leave a group chat and turn on my PC app to make messages unread.

I've already restarted my phone, deleted the mobile app and redownloaded it twice to clear the cache, but this is still happening.

  same man, i have deleted and re downloded it several times, and reset my phone. i have no clue why it keeps crashing. so if i'm away from my pc, i cant talk like at all. this is a big issue and i noticed it starting with the new update. this really needs to be fixed. if this were to happen to someone who only uses discord on mobile there kinda screwed.

  Same here it’s still happening! I’ve seen quite a few mobile users (all my art friends) complain about getting spam kicked just for trying to open a message. And I feel like the app crashing (even if its mobile) over receiving a message is more important than blurple but yknow.
