2021 - How to improve Discord

Hello and Happy New Year to all!
New year rhymes with new things. So I said to myself that I would make a thread to propose some new features.

You can continue to propose ideas below. If we manage to make one big thread, it will give more visibility than if we make several different ones.

My ideas :

1. A voice message system.
This has already been mentioned several times here, but I'm going to put it forward again, specifying some points.
- A duration limit  (a few seconds)
- Permissions (as for images)
- A way to make them ephemeral  

2. Role separators and role categories
Many guilds now use a large number of roles to identify members (gender, age, hobbies, country...etc.).
Even for students, groupings by major/minor/options etc.
This is very useful and is what distinguishes discord from other services.
- Making role separators that adapt to the user's theme (light/dark) and screen size could improve readability.
- Make role categories with permissions inheritance.
I saw a model on Reddit

A permissions system with inheritance could be really great. Sometimes discord is not flexible enough on permissions, and this could bring a new advanced and unique feature. (a bit like with channels and categories)

3. Native Moderation
Discord does not natively provide effective guild moderation.
An interesting feature would be to add a whole set of moderation tools that are already found on most bots.
- Delete messages with sorting (users/channels...etc)
- Text Mute
- Move several users at the same time

4. Images only channels
Channels that only accept images! This could really be useful


I hope that these ideas will fit and be added in the future.
Feel free to suggest other features in this thread. I'll say it again but a big thread will have more visibility and increase the odds of seeing these features one day.
