Toggle "New Unreads" On and Off

I like being able to have the "new unreads" button sometimes, but other times, it gives me a lot of anxiety and makes me feel like I absolutely have to read the message immediately. I think there should be a setting that allows users to turn off/on the "new unreads" pop up so it won't show up in the first place, without having to mute every channel. This is something forcing me to stop using Discord.
