New UI scrolling needs rolled back

I’m really not sure what the logic was behind this one, but this new UI feature where every swipe is more showy and every scroll through channels has the messages jumping over each other is a serious downgrade. These new motion features are distracting and make everything slower, and worst of all, I can’t find an option to roll them back. Please, if you’re going to insist on all this...motion blur, for lack of a better term, please allow iOS users to disable it. Android, too, preferably, if they don’t have it.
