Suggestions to help prevent DM advertisements in servers

I moderate a community server with about 40k members and we just got a huge DM advertising raid, and I think there are two ways discord could help stop DM advertisers.

1) Create a setting which you can enable to prevent new members from DM'ing server members until they have been a server member for a set amount of time (If people don't like this idea maybe block messages containing keywords/links until they have been in the server for a certain amount of time). 

 

2) Bots often use the search feature to see all members of the server, which effectively stops any attempts from the server admins to conceal the member list to new/unverified users. If this feature is disabled to new server members, it could help prevent DM advertising. 

 

It would be really great if discord could help prevent DM advertisers because there isn't much server owners can do at this point to stop it from happening.

    We can do our best but it's almost impossible to prevent 100% DM advertisers for example vertical smoker review but we can get better day by day and can improve it by researching more and more. Good Luck.
