A permission "silent join/leave"
We are all familiar with the sound of a person entering/leaving a room
Now, I want you to imagine an ability for an administrator of a server to create a role meant to disable that sound or make a room without it
Could that go terribly wrong on some dumpster fire servers? Absolutely. (then again let's be real people who are part of such communities enjoy that sort of chaos)
But on servers that have like 8 regular users and everyone knows everyone it would be a perfect trolling tool.
If that is not a good enough reason I'd like to point towards one thing, we are in a state where a demand for big servers able to host school lessons is higher than ever before and hearing the sound of a discord notification every time someone joins a channel is to put it blunt disturbing, especially if a class clown decides to continuously join and leave the channel in order to spam this sound.
Another reason are "music lounge" type of channels where people are not meant to talk and enjoy music instead … and it gets linearly harder to do on bigger servers since the flow of people grows and more people enter/leave such room.

Unfortunately it appears that the Discord devs have recently added this silent joining feature, and quite idiotically not added any permission to control it.
