Stream not loading

So whenever i am on a call and my friends decide to screen share the stream, the screen doesn't appear and it shows the loading sign over and over ....only happening on pc not mobile

  I think Im the only person but gearkiller's solution did not work for me. I turned both settings off and nothing happened. Does anyone know what the problem is? I'm using a MacOS Big Sur version 11.2.3.

  Didn't work for me either =) I tried flushing the DNS as well and strangely it worked once and then hasn't worked again. Obviously i tried to flush it again and it again didn't work. This is devastating.. I uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing.. I can hear the stream fine, just not watch it...

  For Opera GX user, you need to turn ON "Use hardware acceleration when available" to be able to watch your friend stream on Opera GX (Fix loading forever) but you need to turn it OFF if you want to share your browser screen using discord application on pc (Fix black screen problem).

  so is it only not working for people not on windows 10? i have windows 8.1 and this problem is really annoying

  i had the exact same issue on my mac and tried everything said here but couldn't fix it so i did a bit more googling and i figured it out :)
