The New UI Changes need to be fixed, a list.
Hello, we appreciate that Discord is trying to optimize their app, but sometimes unnecessary rebranding can really throw off users who have been using the app for so long.
This is the biggest change yet, and it makes it much more confusing to navigate the website because of this. I'm asking that the following changes get reverted:
- The user mention colors should go back to that "blue" color they originally were. It was easy to differentiate and is an iconic part of Discord. Having it match the text color just feels wrong.
- The channel mentions should go back to the way they were as well for a similar reason to the above one. They just feel off and are actually stand out way more than the user pings, which shouldn't really be the case. It's distracting on the eyes.
- The colors such as green seemed to have an increase in contrast, including the online color. Please revert these, it does not match Discord's original color scheme and looks too "warm" of a color.
- The logo wasn't changed, so why are there new changes to the default PFPs?
Thank you for considering these options, at the very least I would request the option to actually customize the colors you want on your own interface rather than being forced to switch to one. Whether it be just a simple "revert back to old color design" button or coding in the freedom to change your colors or even just selling Discord Themes on a web store (good market opportunity!!!), this would benefit users greatly.
Best,
Cube

Yes, please!
The new color scheme for the mentions are bad. It's difficult to read and the green effect is not great either.

They removed every good thing about mentions and channels. The colors are garbage as well, at least compared to the old pallet.

I agree, the new UI just doesn't feel right. The mentions look pretty bad on dark mode and the new reactions just look... weird. I would at least like an option to revert the UI back to how it was previously.

I would add the reaction bubbles too. The lack of contrast makes them awful to see with vision issues.

They also changed the red color used for do not disturb, it went from #F04747 to #ED4245 if you actually compare these two colors they're almost indistinguishable, change just for the sake of change isn't good.

The @pings are terrible in dark mode, they are far too bright for dark mode and hurt my eyes.
