New color is so strong that even my blue light filter can't do anything to it
I have a very VERY strong blue light filter on my PC, f.lux to be exact. It's set on 1900k (as low as it goes) 99% of the time to be exact because blue colors in general strain my eyes to hell and back. Even with the extremely strong filter, the new blurple, which is actually more of an indigo, still strains my eyes bad enough that I do not want to use discord.
I've been on this platform for over 5 years now, and this is bad enough that it makes me want to drop it or straight up look for a replacement.
The new font is bad, but I can live with that (looking through other threads, other people can't live with it, like dyslexic people for example). The new logo looks edgy and unfriendly, but I can live with that. Removing Wumpus to use some new creatures as mascots, it's sad and depressing, but I can live with it.
A new color that I have to see everywhere and makes my eyes hurt non stop? No. No I can't live with that.
When your color makes my eyes hurt through a blue light filter AND the blue filter integrated into my glasses, well, that's something that needs fixing as far as I am concerned.

100% agree. I’m not adverse to changes, but this was a downgrade across the board. Font and logo look terrible. Discord went from a cool gaming platform font to “preschool picture book”Clyde lost all personality and is now just a controller with a smiley face. But the important part, is this color change hurts my eyes and almost seems blurry to look at. I’ve been commenting on numerous posts like this to hopefully increase visibility and force discord to answer us, and change. “This is actively hurting users” is a term often thrown around about ooor user experiences or buggy updates, but how often can you truly say that a company is injuring their user base? This is terrible for people. This was obviously not checked for accessibility issues. You still lose users over this if it’s not acknowledged and fixed as soon as possible. I hope they care enough to make it right. I hope they don’t simply ignore use because they’ve seen enough growth to not care about users leaving. I hope they see us as more than a number on a corporate meeting spreadsheet. This is HURTING my eyes, and it’s hurting others as well. Please discord, you’re better than this.

the website I'm typing this reply on, and the discord I use right now absolutely hurts my eyes. the muted colors I loved and were gentle to me are now replaced with bright saturated colors that hurt and are rough on my eyes. you're better than this discord, im very disappointed in you. please listen to everyone. your font is bad for dyslexic people and is hard to read, I miss the old discord. the one that cared for us in some way, where did that go? I'm super disappointed and I want change, it hurts me and others. you need to see that with your own eyes, discord what you've done.

I noticed that Discord replied to someone’s concerns about accessibility with a feedback form about this kind of issues. I filled it out already, so I hope others in do and share it with friends as well to let them know how inaccessible and garish the new colors, font, etc. are for users.
Link to their tweet about it: https://twitter.com/discord/status/1392869194413355009
Link to their Google form feedback itself: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdTzNbITTRx4BYWFlC3gi_lEi3D3rsa9VCBK_EphF5myDb7uw/viewformThey claim accessibility is taken very seriously, so let’s be sure to inform them of how difficult these new changes are for people.
