The new UI's dark theme is too high contrast

I've already seen many posts about this and I'm gonna add to it because I need discord to actually listen. The new dark theme is horrible on the eyes, it's too high contrast making it unpleasant to stare at. I have (mild) astigmatism and it doesn't take long for the white text to become blurry with it being on such a dark background. I can't imagine what it's like for anyone who has a worse case of astigmatism. 

I've also seen plenty of complaints about migraines which is even worse so overall a HORRIBLE change and there should be an option again to go back to the old low contrast dark theme. (alternatively just roll back the whole update. it's bad)

    I have reasonably bad astigmatism and suffer from migraines, i've been using a nitro theme that works for me (citrus) but after seeing all these posts about them changing the colour I switched my theme over just to see for myself how bad it is and almost immediately my eyes began hurting despite my phone being on a very low brightness and i was struggling to read. I have an accessibility shortcut on my phone to quickly turn everything greyscale for migraines and even with that enabled the contrast was still too high for me.

    I've cancelled my nitro due to the ui changes and privacy concerns and once my leftover runs out, if this at the very least isn't fixed, i'm going to have to uninstall the app because it will become unusable for me unless i shut my eyes and use a screen reader (and discord doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to screen reader accessibility)

    the fact that they've dubbed this an accessibility update blows my mind, they clearly did not consult enough people who were the target of such a change.

    I have deleted the iOS Discord app since I can no longer use it.

    For me, I need light mode, thick text (heavy font?), and larger font size.  These are not adjustable in the UI, so I cannot use Discord anymore.


    They reduced the font size and thinned the text (not sure what the actual phrase is for that), and I just can't read it anymore. Deleted.
