Voice Breakout Rooms
This might be too much to ask. I have a community server where everyone can study and I am planning to make a solo room so they can be able to study without anyone joining to the voice chat.
I mean I can just create multiple solo voice chats in the server or invite a Discord bot to accommodate users for them so they can create a custom temporary voice chat, however it just looks spammy to the eyes and there's too much to do and not everyone is knowledgeable with commands and stuff.
This is why I suggested this kind of feature, to create a voice chat with separate rooms inside it. Take Zoom's Breakout Rooms as an example.

How would this be different from simply deafening yourself or leaving the voice chat entirely?

That's a good question. While muting yourself or leaving the voice chat entirely can provide some quiet time, it doesn't fully capture the experience of having a dedicated solo study space. A solo room would let people feel part of the community without the distractions, kind of like having your own little study corner in a big library. It's about balance - being connected but also focused. Plus, it would help keep the server organized and less chaotic.

SolarSupremacy I mean one the points of breakout rooms, I think, is because rooms can have too many participants so as to make collaborative conversation a bit tricky and also it allows time for small groups to work by themselves and then come back together to contribute to the larger project at hand…it makes the collaborative process more dynamic. Myself I'm part of at least three different organizations that use Zoom regularly for this purpose; I wouldn't mind seeing this functionality added to Discord.
