new UI design makes reading harder and causes overstimulation

I can't even imagine how this got through design, testing, coding, and then got pushed. Seriously, why were these changes made? Note that all of this is with the Ash palette in use, on a 1980p monitor with fullscreen on the discord app:

first of all, the server icons are now smaller for 0 reason. hooray, you put more on the screen and now I'm overstimulated every time I look at them. They stay the same size, no matter whether it's normal, compact, or spacious mode, and even on spacious there are too many [not to mention that spacious doesn't change the icon size, just the spacing between them]. what's the point of cool server icons if they're too small to see well? and this is ignoring the fact that They are now square for some reason. Many server icons have been designed expressly for the purpose of being seen as a circle, and now they're a square instead, causing some to have no corners [because it was just a circle to begin with] and others to have an odd look. It doesn't help that the folders now have the servers in their squished together into a much more rounded shape, leading to them being even harder to see, and looking off in the middle of the other servers, as there is less difference between them now.

now, let's talk about colors. the colors of the server name, channel list, and header are now the same, as are the messages and member list. this makes everything look bland and hurts readability as well, because it all blends together. In addition: all of the colors, even on a palette closer to the previous design, are more similar than before, which makes it all blend together even more! rather than looking “sleek” or “new” or “fresh”, it looks like someone splashed grey [or black, for dark theme] paint on it and said “job's done”.

In summary, I don't like the new discord look very much, and it's objectively worse than the previous one in every way except trying to look “sleek” or “modern”. If you don't roll it back, at least please give an option to use the old design, because it doesn't hurt anyone to do that.
