New desktop layout is unusable for those with disabilities

I came here to say just that.

The new UI layout for desktop released March 25th, 2025 is nightmare, especially for those of us with disabilities. This is not disability friendly, it is not accessibility friendly. This is the exact opposite of ALL of that. It is downright disability hostile an when I have a whole guild of people complaining and switching to Steam's group chats, you know its bad.

Even messing with the scaling and text options does not fix the fact it is a cluttered mess, causing serious eyestrain issues for people with bad eyes, nearly unusable for those of us with dyslexia, and in general just doesn't work.

For me, personally, to make the server icons big enough I can actually see what they are and tell them apart, I have to set the scaling now to 150, and doing that makes it so I can no longer use the chat window in the servers because its now as wide as my pinky finger can see, at most, half of someone's icon. This means Discord is more-or-less unusable right now on this layout.

I just have to ask: why?
