Problems with new light mode

After the latest update light mode is much harder to read. There seems to be less contrast between the text and the background, and also between the main chat and the side bars.

Switching to one of the dark modes is not a solution to this, since the same visual impairment that makes contrast necessary for me also causes a halo effect when there's light text on dark backgrounds.

This is an accessibility issue, since less contrast means more effort to rad and therefore more eyestrain.

    Seconded! Dark mode is not good for my eyes and the old light mode was good with its contrast. This update is awful. I know light mode is less popular but I sitll wish it got the same treatment as dark mode, which has 3 variants, but us light users just get the one..
