    I see where you're coming from, but I don't think it's a good idea. What if you already have Early Supporter? Then you have two, and you don't need them both. You get a badge while you have nitro, so I think it's good enough that way.

    You shouldn't be doing it for the badge though... you should do it to support the developers and teams who work constantly, around the clock to bring a stable, fun, working and ad-free platform for the community to talk about games.

    This is probably the only time a surprise badge like this is gonna happen. It was a surprise to those who helped Discord out before they were very popular, and it's not like people with this badge get any unfair advantages. Sure, there's the Grandfathered Nitro, but it can be canceled; AND it only lasts until 2020 (or 2021 if you went yearly.)

    If they took this away, imagine being someone with the badge? They would probably be sad, disappointed, or angry. I know I would be. Basically, this makes some people feel good about themselves and it shouldn't be taken away.
