"Smart" / Anti-burst Channel Muting AKA Better Notification Controls

Sometimes not-as-active channels can have random moments of a lot of activity, either where two people are just having a long conversation, or many people are all talking at once. This could be annoying in terms of notifications, as your phone or computer could "blow up" with tons of them, which could be really annoying if you're doing something else.

The obvious solution is to just mute channels like this, mute the entire server, or just turn off notifications from Discord altogether. This is a bit flawed because for some channels/servers, most of the activity is a lot more spread out, say a couple messages here, then a few more in a few hours, or maybe a bit more in a day or two. Also, if I were to keep a channel muted, sometimes I might just forget that it's muted, and basically never come back to that server ever again, thus missing out on a lot of stuff. I wouldn't mind keeping such channels unmuted because I'd like to stay current on what's going in in there. It's just that a sudden wave of a ton of messages in a few seconds can really be distracting. 

My proposed solution is for a "smart" mute option for channels, where you could ideally adjust the frequency of messages (X messages per Y seconds) at which Discord would automatically mute a channel's notifications because it would be deemed "too active". You would also hypothetically be able to set a second frequency of messages for when the smart mute would turn itself off again, when the channel's not as busy anymore.

Here's an example:
Turn ON Smart Mute at message frequency of:
3 message(s) every 1 second(s)

Turn OFF Smart Mute at message frequency of:
1 message(s) every 30 second(s)

With the above settings, the smart mute would turn on when either:

• A single user with a lot to say is suddenly typing a lot of individual messages in a short period
• A really active conversation is going on between two users
• Lots of people are typing at once either in a conversation or reacting to something

It would then turn off, or unmute the channel again, when it detects only one message over the span of 30 seconds.
