Could Spoiler Tags be removed?

There are people who have no restraint and some who have no ability to gain restraint when it comes to spoilers. Simple as "I see, I click". Then there are the scummy people who post spoilers the day that some movie comes out in the most used channel on a server and people get the movie spoiled and go livid. I can't really think of any way they can be restricted to be more secure, and I doubt an "Are you sure you want to see this spoiler?" verifier would help much. People could take it to dms, but the people who spoil things the day they release in theatres or the day a game comes out are generally stuck up people who will just stop using spoiler tags altogether out of spite. The tags should just be removed altogether so people won't be tempted to start spoiling a movie in active places and just instinctively go to dms.

  So what you are saying is that you don't have control over the server to request them to stop or ban spoilers outright, so the logical step is to remove a useful feature from all servers?
