Deleting messages on your side

Lets say if someone send a message or image in a group chat and I don't want to see it. I'd like to option to delete it just for me. Everyone else can see the message exept for me because I deleted it.

I know that Whatsapp implements this.

    This is great, I'd like to be able to delete messages from my history.  Its crazy that we cant do this.

    Have you ever been in a group chat and that one friend post something really weird and you don’t want your parents to see that when they walk in. Well something like this happens to me quite often and I would love to be able to delete a message or make the message hidden (like when you block someone)
