[SOS] Microphone issues,,,

Okay, so I understand that microphone issues are super common, but my problem is eluding me. Basically, my old headset worked just fine with discord; however, I have recently purchased an Astro A10 headset. For some reason, I am unable to use the microphone, but the headphones work flawlessly. I've scoured the internet for a few days now, trying every possible troubleshoot option I could find, but not a single one has worked. Thankfully, I have an external yeti microphone that I can use; but I share my space with another gamer and it is making it incredibly hard for us to enjoy our experience, because my microphone is picking up every little sound. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing my headset mic to not work in this instance?
