Help!!! I don't want to use replies! I want to be able to use quotes!

I use a very slow computer, and with replies, every time someone replies, it has to draw TWO profile pictures, and TWO lines of text! Not only is that slowing down my computer, it's overly visually distracting, I believe that Quotes did a much better job than replies ever could. And, if multiple people reply to a message, there's no way to actually click on the original message and see who has replied to it. This new feature is hard to understand. Please allow us to use Quotes.

  If your computer is so slow, use compact mode. No profile pictures to draw. :)

  I'd rather not if I don't have to.
  Replies don't even look good.
