Allow DM chats and servers to be popped out into their own windows on desktop clients

Discord should provide a toggle button/switch/UI device of some kind on DM chats and servers that allows any given individual DM chat or Discord server to popped out of the main Discord window into a separate, distinct window of its own. Equally, it should be possible to flip the UI toggle to send the new window back to its usual place in the main Discord window.

Why? Discord having stepped into much of the gap left by the late, lamented AIM and having supplanted many of the other IM services/clients for not only group chatting on servers but also instant messaging between individuals: it would be very useful for those of us who chat with individual friends regularly on desktop clients to have the option to pop a DM conversation out of the Friends pane into a window of its own that visually alerts/notifies for that chat only. Individual windows for DMs would allow a user chatting with multiple people in DMs simultaneously to *see* multiple DM conversations simultaneously. That can allow the user to tell at a glance who has messaged them, rather than forcing to navigate back and forth through the sidebar of their friends, and quickly interact with the chat they wish to respond to.

It would be equally useful to users who prefer a work flow of seeing multiple chats to allow individual servers to be popped out into their own windows that visually alert/notify for that server only, for that matter. With multiple active servers on Discord, it can be very hard to track conversations while switching back and forth between them. The option of having both servers visually available at the same time would be invaluable.

I do not know that such functionality would be possible--or indeed at all useful, even if it were--on mobile OSes, as multi-window UI is rarely feasible due to screen size restraints. However, it would vastly improve the desktop client experience for the subset of users who are highly active across multiple DMs and servers and prefer to view various chats simultaneously and not serially, and I do not think making such a UI option available would much impact the desktop client experience for users who do not use it.
