Twitter links occasionally showing metrics
So, I have some friends that use Discord who don't particularly like seeing the metrics of Twitter (Likes, Follower counts, Retweets, Comments etc.) and seeing them can really bring them down. Even though they have extensions to stop themselves from seeing them, Discord occasionally shows the amounts of likes a tweet gets when a link to a tweet gets shared. So having the option to turn this function off could help a lot for them (and would also make the UI a bit more consistent)

You might want to cross check me in this, but I believe that the embeds created by links use data pulled from the website itself, specifically for the purpose of embeds on different websites and apps, so Discord itself cannot remove likes and retweets in an embed without adding a special case for Twitter, and then everyone and their mother would ask for a special case for their own website.

That is true, but if the code can pull the data of likes and retweets, then shouldn't it also be possible for it to not do so? I know of course that it isn't as simple as changing a couple lines to make it do so, but if the embeds can have the metrics, then by that logic you should be able to have them not show up. (unless I'm thinking incorrectly about this)
The idea was really just being able to decide what shows up in embeds for your own account (or maybe server, though that might be a lot) so that the UI of Discord is either more consistent for you, or hides things you don't wanna see. Like, maybe for Youtube you're fine with everything, but for Instagram you'd rather not have images pop up in the embeds. (again, could be talking completely out of my ass, but that's the sort of idea/"fix" I was thinking of)
