Just because you don't like r/Wallstreebets doesn't mean its hate speech.
Unless you are cowards you will provide actual evidence as to why you banned Wallstreetbets. Stop labeling things you don't like as "hate speech". Intolerance to free speech is the real hate speech.

I agree. Throughout the years that I have used discord, I have found a server with a NSFW chat & another server that is centered around NSFW.
In addition to this, I have been in servers where someone has used slurs (racial or otherwise) & the individuals who said these slurs would have been kicked by someone of the server, not outsiders.
So do explain why you had the server deleted instead of the server a chance to fix itself?1 -

Discord only banned them because they were a problem to the establishment that they are apparently apparently apart of. Shame on you discord. Thought this was a place were we make our servers. You obviously don't understand what they did. They deliberately banned a group of people because they challenged the status quo. Either you don't want to see the wider implication of this or you just want to be cognitively dissident.

they banned the discord after multiple warnings of hatespeech already. if things doesnt change, the best is to just ban. they gave them enoigh time to properly moderate the server. and if the owner / mods wont do that they get banned. deal with it

Nobody is forcing us to use/pay Discord, if we are concerned with their moderation practices, which is their right, we can move to open alternatives: https://drewdevault.com/2021/01/28/Use-open-platforms-or-else.html

Define hate speech. You can't really. If it boils down to just speech you don't like or agree with then your using your platform to remove people through an exuse.
However, if they are saying things like bomb x place or kill x person then that isent protected speech. But the problem is we don't actually have confirmation of a justifiable ban. Discord just labels it as hate speech without evidence.

Stop banning groups of people! This cancel culture bullshit has to stop! Free speech must prevail or all of humanity will fail. If you don't agree with someones view point argue against it with your own opinion or don't participate with it. Banning is not the right way to go about it! Just stop!
