there should be a way to back up a server, like in an offline file or something like that

discord is my primary method of communication with some important people in my life, and over the years we've sent tens of thousands of messages, shared jokes, made works of art, etc etc etc, and it would genuinely be a tragedy if we were to somehow lose our servers through, say, a widespread server crash or something of the like. so of course, i would love to be able to keep a backup in a flash drive and not have to worry about losing all this amazing stuff permanently. would this be a simple thing to add, or is it easier said than done?
