Make the selected text markdown format helper show with keyboard selection [Desktop]

Currently the helpful buttons shown below only display after highlighting text with the mouse via click and drag or single words with double click.

It would be real nice if it could also show up after selecting all with Ctrl+A or using other keyboard methods for partial selection.
