Feature request voice message

Discord is such a great social platform, but when talking to others through direct message I wish there was some more functionality. Like the ability to send audio messages. If storage is an issue, have the audio messages be time sensitive, lasting 24 hours like in the same ui as a nitro gift would be a good format. An alternative could be integrating a system for opening and recording mp3 files within chat. This can still follow the same rules for storage limits for files, but audio tends to be smaller in space. This feature would be amazing, especially as we use discord to talk to those that do not share the same language as us, in which a vc would not be easy. And having some language tools would be nice. To easier communicate with those that maybe don’t speak the same language as you.

    Having voice messages can help to share language with those that are not fluent in our language without stammering through an awkward voice call.
