the ability to have notification sounds play even when you're looking at the chat you want to hear.

how this would work: Basically it would be a toggle, either in global settings or per chat. Say my friend and I are having a good conversation about something and I want to be able to know when he responded, but I'm paying attention to something else around my desk, say a painting. with this option turned on I would hear the message and know to put down my brush and read the message so I can respond right away.
