Discord opens up when i change resolution when laptop monitor is closed
I use a laptop with a external monitor, when I close the Laptop screen and use the external monitor, discord opens up and clicking on it or trying to close it using the 'X' button doesn't work, it also opens up when I change my screen resolution, in the below image ,I change my resolution from 800*600 to 1366*768,and this happens, I cant close it nor can i interact with the application, the only way to return to desktop is to use the show desktop button on the taskbar

Happens all the time. I have TV and main monitor setup which I switch using Win+P kb shortcut. Each switch discord pops up with non working window controls and sometimes bugged window size.
The TV (4K) has 300% scaling set in Windows and main monitor(1440p) is set to 100%. If that may help in eliminating this issue. Issue is present for at least half-year.

I had the same issue, different solutions worked for me:
1, I had to have the exact same settings on my TV and PC or else it always opened up. My TV runs on 59Hz and my monitor runs on 60Hz. When I set both to 60Hz it was good.
2, I had to restart the Nvidia Container from the task manager and Discrod also, so it is not just Discord but Nvidia driver issue as well.
3, Today we just got an update for Discord, it seems it is working with different settings as well.
Don't want to jinx it and fingers crossed but for the last hour I didn't have this issue. :)

Also happens to me for at least a year. Annoying and not yet fixed by either Discord or Nvidia.
