[Feature Request] Saving app volume through updates
Hello,
I will briefly(as i can) describe my problem and request
Any app in Windows have their volume that can be tuned from Mixer in the taskbar(Click Speaker icon on taskbar in tray area[may be hidden], in popup click Mixer). This values stored in registry in HKCU\SW\MS\IE\LR\Audio\PC\PS\<unknown_hash>(path cutted to first letters) and default volume value for new app is 100%. Well the main trouble is <unknown_hash> cuz it based on file and file full path, so even equals app.exe in different folders or with different names will have different hash whan mean one of apps will be perceived as new app. Maybe it's not hash, i not dig too deep.
Well, tech side described, now trouble - due some reasons almost all apps on my machine have very low volume(not more than 5-10 percent) and only few has 100. Now imagine situation when discord has a major update and its folder changes, and due circumstances above, your easter egg yelling TADA at ALL ONE HUNDRED PERCENT... instead 5... Plus all notifications, voice chats, all sounds that discord make... And this happen on each update(but not for each i see the changelog) since ... 2015(2019 - i found egg). Also discord have more than one audio source and each need to be tuned after major update. Today just i have bad mood and it was last straw.
Few words before your questions - i not use discord volume tune cuz it affect WHOLE system volume(which on 50%) and not discord only, think about it.
Request is very simple - somehow localy save system volume of discord app e.g. on app closing and load it on startup BEFORE MAKE ANY SOUND. Or think about how to control discord only volume
In additions - dark theme not so dark in context until use --enable-features WebUIDarkMode --force-dark-mode. Fix it pls like you return usable for mute option.
