A way to remove data
Have you ever wanted to wipe your data, but not delete your account?
This post goes over the ways this could work and how it would benefit the user experience.
Why would you want to delete your data?
You may have many reasons why you want to delete your data, such as you have done questionable things, or maybe you just want a fresh start a nice clean slate.
What would this encompass?
Most people would like to delete all their messages and previous images and profile pictures, but the only way possible to do that is to delete your account, and most people would just like to remove certain things but keep their account.
How would this work?
In retrospect you would head over to "Privacy & Safety" and it would be located somewhere in "How we use your data" you would click a button called "Remove Data" it would appear with a list, listing something along the lines of:
- Delete Messages (Server, Group Chat, DMs)
- Remove Image History
- Remove Profile Picture History
- Remove Billing History
And many other things the community has wanted to be removed from their account.
Two-Three warning and confirmation messages will appear saying yes or no and telling them it is irreversible and cannot be undone.
Conclusion
To sum it all up you are removing data from your account that you didn't want any more such as Image Data, Messages, Billing History, Etc. and with a few clicks you have removed that data that you didn't want, and still have your same account with your snazy early supporter badge with a clean slate.
