Watch/Join streams without joining voice channel

Just join the channel and then mute your mic. I stream to friends often, and I'm usually happy to have people join even if they don't talk.

When a buddy and I play Duo's we use this stream feature to to see the other person's stream because it is about the lowest latency method really available. To do this right now, however, you have to have a second computer, with a second discord account.
I'd like this feature to allow you to cast and view at the same time on the same account as well. That way you could put the stream up on a second monitor. Also, the ability for a second PC to watch a stream without joining the channel so that you don't disconnect your main voice account on your casting PC would be great.

You can just get in a call on Discord and both stream and watch at the same time.

I agree, you shouldnt be force to join VC. Doesnt matter what the reason is. Show them as spectator but havent them in VC is fine. If they want to join VC they will join VC.

I today ran in to this issue. I was in a voice call for a DnD game but wanted to watch a stream from a friend in the meantime. Was not possible without leaving the voicecall.

do none of you realize you can just hook up another monitor and not need a second pc?
its 90 times cheaper and 90 times easier

I agree, lot of my friends dont want to watch my streams because they dont want to join my vocal channel (because they're busy or because they're on an other chan, or others) this idea can help a lot.
please, we need it <3
