Support for those with a need for more than one visible name.

I am on a server which contains a number of people with a Multiple Personality condition, as such some of them use a Bot which takes the comment and reposts it with the correct alias so that we are able to tell who is speaking at any one time. 

There are a number of problems with this approach including that it doubles up on notifications when they @ someone, it makes deleting or reacting more difficult and it makes editing impossible.

As such it would be of a lot of use if something with similar functionality could be built directly into Discord so that people can have several recorded names for their account, linked to the same core account, which could be quickly and fluidly swapped between.

In addition to helping people with such conditions as DID it would also be of use to servers that contain Roleplay channels where people may want to swap between those they Role Play as or those who act as Mods who may wish to have an easy way to display when they are acting in their mod capacity.

    I agree with this idea, and hope it will become a thing as the Bot does have some issues, like no colour name (if you get coloured names from the server ) when talking as the bot is a bot not the account so the name with coloured roles doesn't show up. The bot doubles messages and @, the bot does go down and more. I hope discord can implement this.

    Dear fellow server owners,
    DID effects 1-3% of the population. So if you have more than 100 people in your server, chances are, at least one of your members has to deal with DID, OSDD or other forms of MPD. So for the sake of them, up-vote this.

    and this wouldnt just increase accessablity it would decrease the ablity to abuse bits because they all tie to one account that easily is connected and in different spaces many people go by different things not just nicknames
    but maybe even as simple of a start to this process of adding could be a menu that you enable a popup beside the emoji icon that says "who's speaking" and you click the menu and choose from one who fronts a lot [if youd like to save them] or type as you go so it prompts you to sign from who is speaking and you click the "who is speaking" tag beside a nickname/username on a server and if its a preset user then it can give you info pronouns a bio etc
