Discord Losing Favorite Gifs and Not Scrolling
I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when I want to include a gif in a chat, I can't scroll through my favorite gifs or scroll through the gif search.
Additionally, if I try logging out- I just end up losing all my favorite gifs.

I can't scroll down through GIFs either. It's very annoying. It works on my phone but not my computer.

For some odd reason when I go to "Favorites" I am able to scroll like 40 pixels but that's it...

The issue for gifs not saving being favorited on PC for me started right after I did a registry clean and even with reinstalling has not fixed itself. It has been well over 8 months since Ive had the issue and it has not once fixed with any updates since that time. The gif box not scrolling has been a problem coming back several times over those 8 months as well. currently affecting me in the most annoying way. Why does the emoji box never have an issue like this, but the gif one does?

Interesting NeithanDiniem that your GIF issue has been 8 months. Most others here have been more recent. I don't believe I did anything - GIFs not scrolling just changed overnight it seems - I didn't even shut down, certainly no updates or registry cleaning. very odd.

Same for me Gord. Sad it's been so long and the recent update didn't fix it. I miss scrolling gifs

Anyone able to fix this yet?

It works on the web browser version.

Lost all my favorite gifs, favoriting new ones and logging out makes me lose them too.

I had this happen too. Is nobody addressing this?

I've sent a ticket, so far it's the generic "we've told the relevant people about your bug", still no fix.
Sad, i miss gifs, been a month.

This has been pissing me off so much, I hope they fix this

You are not the only one. I seem to only had them on my browser, not when I use the app on my PC or my cellphone. That's bad. It's not for nothing that I installed the app on my PC and cellphone! That's not cool.

Still got the same problem, man this needs to be fixed. The post is even two months old at this point.

I sorta found a fix,
I first backed up the gif location
"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\discord"then saw my update.exe was called update1.exe i renamed it to update.exe
"C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Discord\Update.exe"
relaunched and it worked.1 -
Update a few days ago fixed the problem!
Too bad the update that hit me the very next morning broke it again...
Starting to give up on this.0 -
They need to fix this. This is just ruining discord for me and I'd rather not use discord if I cant use my gifs.

How do you fix it when you can't scroll through the gifs?

Another fix is to go into the HTML editor (using [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [i]), opening the GIF tab and using the element inspector ([Ctrl] + [Shift] + [C]) to find the div element that contained the contents for the GIF tab
Then, by copying the div class for the GIF container and pasting it in the filter, you can locate the CSS code for the GIF container.
and by then changing: (overflow: > hidden) to (overflow: > hidden scroll)
After the fix you get a weird scrollbar on the GIF screen until you re-launch discord. After you re-launch it goes back to the normal scrollbar and you can use it again (at least that's what worked for me)
