Assign Role permission doing what it actually says

So basically, the description for "Manage roles" is wrong. Let's say we have the roles A,B,C,D and E, A being the highest and E the lowest. If D has the manage roles and B doesn't, if a person has both roles, they can give out roles C,D and E, even though they should only be able to give out E according to the description. 

So can we get this fixed so that manage roles does what it says. If I give someone role D that has manage roles, they should only be able to assign role E. Manage roles permission should be limited to what's under it as it's description says.

    100% agree. It used to work that way. I don't understand why there is a sudden change to it when there were absolutely no issues with it previously.

     

    It's not just with manage roles too. It affects the ability to see a channel [aka if A can't see a channel but C can, having both roles means you can see the channel], the ability to type in channels [If C doesn't have the ability to type but E does, having both roles you can type in that channel] and etc.
