"Mark as read" option for message group chats

I get hundreds of notifications from countless group chats that my friends create, and it would be super convenient if I could go one-by-one and mark them as read via the context menu.

Regular Discord servers have this functionality, so I do not understand why it is not an option on group chats. Would save me inconveniences especially when I am in the middle of watching an embedded video that I do not wish to close by switching to my unread text groups.
