Discord completely ignores output device
After recent update to windows 2004 discord stopped respecting output device option. I can't redirect sound output to anything other than general. In case of genera it's default communication device in any other case it's default sound device.
Is there a way to workaround this issue?

Same here, and I'm certain it's something that happened very recently.
I have a somewhat complex setup, with a set of stereo microphones going into an interface, then into Voicemeeter, inserted into VSTHost for effects, then into Discord, and then, Discord output USED TO go back into Voicemeeter where I told it to, which then I used to record the Discord session for a Podcast.
Well, fark me sideways, because now Discord ignores the Output I want and uses the default one instead. If I change the default, Discord follows suit, but that's useless to me. I can't be re-routing all the inserts because the program can't even respect the selected output...
And no, resetting the audio options in Discord didn't work, neither did using the Legacy audio subsystem. It's adamant on using the default output, which I need for something else.0
