There does not seem to be a way to remove a server from a folder once it's (accidentally) fallen into one, nor to delete folders. 

I also cannot find any help articles re: how to leave a server (and I've been searching the help items for an hour!!).  The "delete server" articles all seem to be for how to remove a server you created, not how to delete a server that you have joined. 

These are essential basics of account management that ought to be really easy to figure out.  Discord is so not user-friendly, and the help section is poorly organized.  The FAQs are all to do with troubleshooting, instead of actual tips on how to use Discord effectively.

  Just right click a server icon and press the red 'leave server' button
