Remove the ability to change the number at the end of your name with Nitro

Hello, I recently discovered this being an issue after falling for a scam along with at least 8 other people for a game in a discord channel where the user was impersonating an admin all the way up to them using the same number at the end of their name. Apparently I've learned that this is something that you can change with discord nitro. The user who performed the scam was pretending to be the admin middlemanning for our trade (which does happen in the server), but it turns out that the account was a complete phony version of the admin. Exact same name, exact same number at the end of their name since I checked that multiple times before sending my items (Blockchain so unrecoverable as well).

 

I feel like this feature is actually quite the security breech. Apparently you're able to check a user ID further, but I have yet to see that be an option for me. I don't feel like being able to replicate someone exactly though should be an option inside of discord. I feel this needs to be something removed from nitro, as it'll avoid scammers like the one that just happened here since they won't be able to just clone a users number exactly. Not having #6969 as your number is definitely worth the trade off of hundreds of other users potentially falling for the same issue.

    Apparently this number is called the discriminator. Learning that now, and still think it should not be something that should be customizable.

    It's quite well known that nitro allows you to change your tag. Rectify your ignorance, not attempt to change the whole system.

    Apart from that, you can check user IDs by enabling developer mode. User ISs cannot be changed
