Unable to login

A colleague sent me a link to sign up to Discord.

As soon as I tried to use it it said it would send a code to my mobile. I entered it and then got prompted for my password when I hadn't even been asked for one yet. 

So subsequently I went to the register link and entered all my details for a new account. 

Now when I go to login, I get the Something's Going On Here page with the prompt to verify by phone. When I enter my number it says this number is already in use on an account remove it to login. But since I am trying to login and it's kicking me out, how do I login to remove the number ??

I would appreciate your help.
