BRING THE SERVER REGION SETTING BACK

What genius of a developer thought removing this setting was a good idea?!

I am NOT looking to change the VOICE CHANNELS' region like what every chimp on youtube created useless "tutorials" for.
I'm looking to change the TEXT CHANNELS' region.

It's for a typing competition kind of server using a bot (Poketwo) and every millisecond matters. I want to minimize the delay. But I'm an EU user and I've been told the server region is based on the server owner's region now, which is plain stupid.
I want to create a server for each region, as currently the Poketwo official server is only playable by North American users who have a solid 0.5s  advantage over South American users, 1s advantage over European users, 1.5s advantage against Asian users and so on.
Anyone living far from the server has almost zero chances when competing against NA users basically in our case. The images load late, the message stays greyed out for a while, etc. Just unplayable.

Am I supposed to use a VPN for my region to be detected as whatever I want the server to be? And does change to my own region after I turn off the VPN? Or is that only for the default voice channel region and the text channel region is always NA no matter what?
I'm borderline ditching Discord with my buddies due to this ridiculous issue. You need to bring back the server region setting A.S.A.P.
Or better yet, add a TEXT CHANNEL REGION SETTING similar to the voice channels' one, so everyone can be happy in a single server.

    You should be able to change the region for text channels.
    I don't understand why they removed it entirely perhaps they should have removed the server option and let you change individual text channels regions..

    I totally agree with you for some reason a server I created recently is in a completely different region from my location, not the closest. Changing the server region should be available for the whole server not just a few channels

    These changes ruined the bot I created, it was programmed to respond differently for each server region, and now by default nobody can change the text chat region.
