mobile phone verification not working

I cannot access my discord account without verifying my mobile phone number. When I put in my personal cell number, which can receive SMS messages and make phone calls, it says that I can't use a landline or VOIP phone number. I use this number for 2 factor authentication with multiple other systems and it works just fine. I pay for nitro and I can't even log in to turn off auto renew, it's still charging me for it. I opened a ticket with support and they didn't help at all, saying my number is a VOIP phone, which it is not. After some back and forth on an email thread, they said there is nothing they can do about it. How am I supposed to access my account without getting a new cell phone or carrier? This is ridiculous.
