Discord Warning System

Hi Team,

I run a support server with 1500 members for my website which is dedicated to streamers. I mainly provide support on my discord server since all of them have a discord account. It is more efficient than email support. I have been running it for the past 2.5 years. But here is the problem, most of my users chat with me on a direct message channel rather than within the server itself.

So recently I launched my new web app. Since many users simply are not active within my server, they usually never get updates. So I decided to send them an update by direct messaging them about my website. I did not use any BOT. I was direct messaging simply copy and paste. Which of course is considered as spam by the discord system. My account got disabled and will probably not be recoverable. (I appealed and it has been denied). Though I have a moderator whom I could transfer the ownership to, so my server is saved. But the friends I made through that account over the years have been lost. This is the first time I was sending direct messages in large numbers which of course led to action by discord which was correct. 

So here is my feedback for the Discord team, it would be really helpful to warn the users if they are doing too many DMs to other people or other TOS violations. Sorry I didn't know it would lead to losing my account. I would have never done it.

You could warn them for the first violation and next time they do any TOS violation you could permanently disable their account without the option to appeal. Something like that. Hopefully it helps.
