Merging Channels to become one

So I was recently thinking about a super handy feature discord can add in the future which will allow you to merge text channels to become 1 for it to give us the ability to organize our channels more. This is an amazing feature that discord can add if possible. Imagine you have a channel where you have a lot of important pictures that no one texts on anymore, you also have a channel where you do meetups IRL and other things that people text in if discord has this channel merging feature you will be able to merge all the chat conversation history and pictures, videos from the dead channel to the good and live channel where everyone texts in. Now you wouldn't need to worry about doing something to the super important old channel since it merged with the new and live channel.

    I think it would be better to sort of "track" channels on the same server
