It's impossible to have pixel perfect profile/emotes across platforms

As a pixel artist, it's disheartening that there's no way to keep a nice sharp profile picture or custom emote without Discord blurring it on one platform

For example: on Desktop, the sweet spot for a sharp emote is 48x48 while it's 32x32 on mobile, if you make the artwork fit the resolution for one device, it will become blurry and ugly on the other, discouraging the use of pixelart.

The same happens with profile pictures, where the sweet spot on Desktop is 40x40 but appears blurry when used on mobile
