Planned cryptocurrency/blockchain integration

Jason Citron and others within the company who are interested in legitimizing cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and "web3" through Discord integration should be well aware that proof of stake, even if widely adopted, is unlikely to solve the high energy usage problems associated with the proof of work blockchain, assuming environmental impact is even something the company is taking into account.

I'm a longtime Discord Nitro subscriber, but I cannot financially support a wildly popular company having a hand -- no matter how small you may perceive it to be -- in hastening an already impending climate disaster. I know a bunch of tech folks are convinced someone's going to figure out carbon capture before we're all dead, but I'm not staking my future on that.

Sorry to the genuinely good people who work at Discord; I hope you're empowered to make your opposition to this known without facing repercussions.
