Hello Discord, I have seen from twitter that you have decided, potentially or not, to introduce NFT's and crypto to your program! I am here to tell you how much of a terrible idea this is! Even if you take away the fact that NFT's harm the environment, and for the most part are a scam and a money laundry scheme, the PR you're getting right now, is awful. You're going to loose nitro subscribes from people who also think this is an awful idea, and people will find a new site/app to use for calls and messages. We've done it before and we'll do it again (remember Skype? Do you wanna be as irrelevant as Skype?) So this as a PR move is absolutely terrible, and you really need to think twice about whether or not you wanna loose a LOT of customers. Again, I only briefly mentioned it before, but the environmental impact of crypto and NFT's is STAGGERING. We KNOW is hurts the environment, we KNOW it uses insane amounts of energy. We LITERALLY JUST HAD COP 26 TELL US WE DONT HAVE TIME. And you just want to make that process faster for some irrelevant money that will be no use when the world is DEAD. Until crypto becomes eco friendly and environmental friendly, we CANNOT use them safely and without any regret. There has already been articles on this topic that have already been posted in various threads I've seen. So in conclusion, this is a terrible idea, it's bad for the environment that we literally cannot afford to do if we want to have a future on this planet, and you're gonna loose more people then it's worth.
