Do not integrate crypto or NFTs

Integration of NFTs and cryptocurrency is a terrible idea, for the environment, for protection against fraud, for everyone who uses the system. If Discord begins to integrate cryptocurrency and NFTs into their system I will be finding alternatives.

And to those who will argue against this, here's my rebuttals to all your points right now.

"But it will be environmentally friendly in the future" Is it environmentally friendly now? Ethereum already consumes households worth of energy for the sake of mining fake currency, the damage is already done. It doesn't matter what speculative future steps might be taken to possibly improve the situation when crypto mining has already made things worse .You don't need to worry about future carbon offsets if you don't cause massive environmental damage in the first place.

"People use a lot of energy normally" Please read above. In addition, when someone drives a car, it's usually because they need to go somewhere. When someone turns on a light, it's because they need to see. While there are steps that can be indivudually taken to reduce unnecessary energy usage, one such easy step is not frontloading several lifetime's worth of energy into a terrible, pointless service.

"NFTs aren't scams" Ah, but they are! It's exceptionally easy to launder money (as seen by the recent cryptopunks scam sale that was used to launder money), and the communities are rife with theft of artists' work.

If you integrate any form of cryptocurrency or NFT community, I can guarantee a good chunk of your userbase will be removing your source of income and finding alternatives. Including myself.
