Crypto? NFTs? Really? Disappointing to say the least

Man I remember when Discord used to have good ideas. It's really going downhill slowly, this whole crypto implementing idea is incredibly disappointing. Crypto is so incredibly wasteful, not just in the electricity used, but also in the equipment having to be upgraded and replaced to keep up with demands. It's not even going to be unregulated anymore with the new infrastructure bill being passed, it just boils down to a pump&dump money grabbing scheme exploiting people with promises of making big money fast (y'know, like a pyramid scheme). The fact that this is even up for debate is revolting and immoral to say the least.

    Commenting to help boost this. Discord needs to know that this is not what the userbase wants. To everyone else reading, cancel your Nitro subscription if you have one. Do NOT give your money to a company who is actively choosing to destroy our planet.
