Possibility that discord will be participating in NFTs is abhorrent

I've spent a lot of my time on discord building communities of peers over the past two years. I will absolutely find another way to do so if Discord begins getting involved in something so wasteful and insecure as crypto and NFTs. This is not something as simple as jumping on the latest tech bandwagon. The amount of energy we waste on something like this will have disastrous results on our environment, not to mention the amount of theft and fraud that happens through NFTs. It's a horrible investment.
