NFTs and Crypto are environmentally disastrous

I strongly urge Discord to stop the pursuit of NFTs (and cryptocurrency in general), as they are contributing to environmental disasters and provide nothing of substance. If anyone wants to support artists, buy commissions from them directly. Do not contribute to the environmental destruction of the planet by buying NFTs. The "artistic merit" of NFTs do not justify the destruction they do.

    You have no idea what are you talking about. There are so many artist from poor countries that manage to do well with NFT's. NFT open the art market for the whole WORLD, until now art was a niche market for just few peoples with few artists. Everything comes with Protected Copyright licenses that protect the buyer from any potential scam and fake art.
